Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction offers basic practices of yoga and meditation and a good look at the the physiology of stress.  It is a thorough and rigorous program that helps students reverse unhealthy patterns and integrate stress reduction into their daily lives.  I am qualified to teach this course and have been offering it for over 15 years. I have seen many people able to change their lives for the better through its practices. It does ask a lot of students: a commitment of 8 weeks/ 2 hour classes each week and daily homework.  The class is experiential.  There is a bit of reading suggested, but most of the homework is instituting a healthy daily regimen (that is fine-tuned for each person and their particular needs).

WINTER CLASSES TIME AND DATES TBA

YOGA AND WRITING

author, yoga teacher Jean Erlbaum

& author, writing teacher Chivas Sandage

Yoga offers an  exploration of our energy centers and can open us to regions of our deepest creativity. Writing allows discovery and play, expression and transformation. Combining these two powerful tools invites deep healing of the body, mind, and spirit. Together we will create a supportive atmosphere where each woman can stretch, write, and share at her own pace.

Experienced and beginning yogis and writers are welcome.
